We raise funds to strengthen our communities through effective organizations and powerful leaders. But as the quote below shows, this act of giving is about more than money:
“Everyone at Devata has given me a strong beautiful Khmer women role model to look up to. And they have helped the organization I work for with funding. And while that funding of course, had the practical benefit of sustaining our program, it did so much more. It gave a sense of pride and courage, because we knew it was not a gift of charity from people who pity the plight of Cambodian people. It is a gift from our community to our community , a symbol of self-reliance, of empowerment.” - Talaya Sin, Director of CCDI, Grant Recipient, and DGC Leadership Honoree (2012)
Our grants come from pooling financial resources from our friends, allies, and supporters. We thank you for your generosity and friendship. Please see where your kindness goes and take a look at each of the amazing organizations below that provide services, programs, and much more to our Cambodian-American community. And many thanks to Asian American Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy (AAPIP) who has matched all of our grants 25 to 50% every since since our founding.
